Growth, Connection, Contribution: The Facilitators' Project
We are a group of diverse collaborators that are committed to help abused and neglected children and women residing in shelters and underprivileged backgrounds experience love, joy and empowerment while gaining self-mastery and social capital through programs that are guided by the principles of growth, connection and contribution.
Our Teams and Programs : We Do It Differently
We emphasise consistency and commitment because constant presence demonstrate genuine care and concern that lays the foundation of strong bonds with the children.
We may all be in the same room but work on different activities with different approaches. We embody flexibility and embrace chaos so as to acknowledge their diverse emotional states, energy level and abilities.
We see the women and children as strong warriors instead of victims, encourage them to step up, recognise the presence of choices and be proactive in shaping their future.
Finance, Leadership, Occupational, Worldview (FLOW)
We widen their worldview by developing their leadership skills, encouraging them to network with people from various backgrounds and facilitating career insights to empower the women and kids so that they can overcome their challenges and thrive in society. The team conducts each session in such a fun and engaging manner that ensures deep learning and thoughtful reflection. The team includes coaches such as Career Coach Kelvin alongside stroke warriors like Lora with much life experiences to share.

Sportsmanship, Movement and Play
We bring joy and educate the kids on perseverance, sportsmanship and teamwork. The Sports Team include expertise and advisors from Saints Rugby Football Club and EduSports Singapore who skilfully navigate the tricky situation of running sporting events for kids of different ages and athletic abilities while maintaining harmony. Many of the coaches also stand in as father figures teaching the kids healthy relationships and boundaries which is important especially for those who have been sexually abused.

Health, Wellness and Personal Development
We are a team of therapists and coaches that serves to promote a sense of empowerment, well-being and healing amongst the women and children through various modalities. The much needed sessions enable the kids and women to relax and calm their nervous systems. The team includes expertise and advisors from Real3ase and The Affirmative People who introduce a range of tools and skills for resilience, self-mastery, EQ and empowerment. “We do it through trust, cooperation and unconditional love from volunteers with full understanding of the needs of the shelters and residents.”
“What we prioritise is engagement and the creation of elevated emotions such as joy, love, gratitude and freedom in every session.”
Forest Navigation Program
Healing and Connecting with Nature
We also facilitate animal therapy sessions where the kids enjoy unconditional love from dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and even chickens. The animals serve as a bridge that build trust between volunteers and the women and children. During the sessions, they learn how to care for others and be responsible. The animals are also the best teachers to teach optimism and appreciation of simple life pleasures.
Our monthly forest hikes builds resilience, facilitates learning and healing through nature. The long hike provides them the space and time to ventilate, reflect and discover themselves.
The sessions consists of dynamic interdisciplinary exploratory experiences that integrates social-emotional learning, nature-based learning, play therapy and neuroscience to develop multi-dimensional resilience, agency and well-being. We recognise that children may have asynchronous development and we support them where they are at. We create open ended deep learning through experiences designed to: + connect with nature + enhance the ability to listen to, build on, and contribute ideas + intellectual curiosity and engagement + foster independent thought and depth of ideas + creativity and flexibility in approach to problem solving + divergent and critical thinking + enhance emotional intelligence + growth mindset + build self-efficacy + risk management and health awareness

"We would like the women and children to understand that there is a starting point for self-discovery, that there is a support network that they can connect to and that their existence in this world can be a significant and happy one."
